Transforms & Effects
Resize, rotate, apply masks, and use visual filters on your clips.
Selecting a Clip
First, click on any clip in the timeline or on the canvas. This will activate it and show its properties in the Effects Panel on the right.
Position, Scale & Rotation
In the "Transform" section of the Effects Panel, you can type in exact numerical values for X/Y position, width/height, and rotation angle. You can also click and drag the clip directly on the canvas to move it, or drag its corner handles to resize and rotate it.
Opacity
Use the Opacity slider to make a clip more transparent, allowing layers underneath to show through.
Mask Effect
A mask can hide a portion of your clip. In the "Animations" tab, select "Mask". You can then use the handles on the canvas or the properties in the panel to define the rectangular area you want to keep visible. This is great for creating split-screen effects or hiding unwanted parts of an image.
Move To Effect
The "Move To" animation allows you to create a simple movement from the clip's starting position to a new end position. In the "Animations" tab, select "Move To", and then click the "Set End Position" button. A dialog will appear where you can click on the canvas to define where the clip should end up.
Color Filters & Greenscreen
In the "Effects" tab, you can adjust settings like Brightness and Contrast. For more advanced effects, use the Chroma Key tool to remove a colored background (like a green screen).
